The goal

Gain back lost sales

Rick Hendrick Toyota needed to target lost sales zip codes with the highest opportunity to protect lost Toyota sales as well as increase Toyota share against Honda.

The outcome

Top open rate

For our successful campaign, we deployed 40,000 emails, with an 18.42% open rate, a total of 7,349 opens. Additionally, we procured a 1.98% CTR, for a total of 794 clicks.

Overall, we generated a 10.7% click to open rate. For context, a recent monthly average of all Conquest Email Campaigns are as follows: Open Rate - 21.27%, CTO - 9.24%, CTR - 1.94%.

Strategy

Tapping into zip codes

The goal was to tap into 28 zip codes with the largest area for increased market penetration. The following demographics were chosen: Toyota/Honda sedan and SUV owners and intenders.

For the 40,000 emails deployed, the cost was $.06 per record and total budget was $2,400.

By the numbers

In total, 587 recorded sessions were driven in Analytics, with 571 of those sessions accounted for by new users to the site. Site users spent on average over 2 minutes and viewed 2.34 pages per session. This generated 1 million website leads and a total of 71 assisted sales (from Sales Matchback).
